Awful awful awful!! Gave one star as I can't leave no stars... or minus stars. Went for a checkup at the start of September with a view to getting new glasses as my old pair had started causing eyestrain. Got new glasses (and prescription sunglasses as they were half price) that were slightly stronger in each eye. A week or so after picking them up the eyestrain started again along with headaches which progressively got worse and worse the more I wore either of the new glasses. I returned for a retest where they measured my eyes again along with extra tests to determine more about my vision. The results came out exactly as before. So every optician and dispenser there had a go at adjusting them differently and giving a different opinion on what the cause was. Nobody figured it out and everybody was entirely hung up on what my eyes SHOULD have done based on the tests, not what my eyes were ACTUALLY doing. No one actually stopped to listen to exactly what I was saying - I told them the glasses may well be my actual prescription as measured by the machine but they were too strong. Long long story short it is now November, my eyes are still not sorted. I still get headaches. I have finally given up with V.E and am awaiting refund. I booked an appointment with Specsavers (next door to V.E), was seen the next day and within 60 seconds of testing beyond the 'normal' optician tests had determined the cause of my headaches, and preceeded to tell me the V.E glasses were too strong and were causing my eyes to not work together even more than they already weren't. Not once did V.E test for this. Now waiting for my Specsavers glasses to be ready. So in conclusion, despite my loathing of TV adverts I have to agree that I "Should have gone to specsavers!"
