Reviews about Guitar Village

  • 2018-02-07, by Gordon Daly
Guitar Village is a wonderful place to go and the shop creates a unique experience in a charismatic setting! Parking is easy and readily available behind the shop (Farnham Car Park) and the shop is based on a lovely high street which includes a good record store, nice coffee shops as well as a variety of other shops. This certainly helps if the family have joined you! When you walk into the store you get the immediate impression that this is different to the normal guitar shop. There is a feeling of discovery as you walk from one room to another and find all the delights that are hidden away. Even though the rooms are small, there is an excellent selection of electric and acoustic guitars and a very respectable selection of amps. Also, there is plenty of places and corners to sit down, plug in and try guitars without people hovering over your shoulders. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable and I appreciate that while they are more than happy to help, they also give you space to think and make your own mind up. You aren’t rushed or made to feel under pressure. Keep an eye out for the BOSS WENT MAD sales. There are big savings to be had when these happen! The last thing I’d like to include in this review is an extract from a thank you email that I sent after buying a guitar. Here it is........ "I’d specifically like to thank the knowledgeable salesperson for his friendly and helpful approach. He really encouraged me to enjoy the experience and gave informative, impartial advice. Also, I can’t think of a better environment to try these great instruments. The environment was welcoming and I loved the experience of walking from one room to the next discovering the many guitars that you have in stock. An experience I would highly recommend and I think this is something that has been lost from the “warehouse” type guitar stores."
